transfer project from laptop to desktop

MessageAuthor

Hi. Transferring a project from one computer to another is easy, though the particulars will depend on several things, like if the 2 computers are networked, etc. If the computers are networked, then you can open the project as usual on your lappy and then do a Save-as to your desktop, being sure to check the 'Copy all media to project directory' option. If they're not networked then do the same thing, only save it to an external device of some kind and then copy it to the desktop. But basically, it's as simple as that. HTH.

RE: transfer project from laptop to desktop

Do both computers have the same setup? Does the laptop have effects that aren't installed on the desktop? This kind of stuff has hampered me in the past. My buddy wants to send me his cubase project but we have different setups and it's a pain to try to figure out. I always tell him to send me WAV audio files. You could try to undo what you put in your desktop and then redo the transfer. You may have copied something you shouldn't have. Kinda hard to help out through a message board.
