Switch Bulbs

MessageAuthor

Hi Some of the switches in my 1991 940 estate do not light up like the others. The ones that do not light up are; Main Light switch Fog Light switch 2 x Seat Heater switch (in centre console) Q. Are these meant to have bulbs in them to be seen at night and if so, are the bulbs replaceable or are they integral to the switch. Thanks as ever Chris

RE: Switch Bulbs

Hi, they should be lit, and each switch doesn't require its own bulb. Some of them are lit via a so called prism which holds the bulb. Cheers, Sasha

RE: Switch Bulbs

Hi Where is this prism, maybe the bulb in it has gone. funnily the only switch (apart from heater control panel) that lights up is the 'dimmer switch' regards Chris

RE: Switch Bulbs

when i bought my '90 745 all of the bulbs had gone! try buying half a dozen new bulbs and replacing the ones that dont light up, the prisms are where some of the bulbs sit. they are a "Y" shape and split the light of one bulb into two. regards cavey
