Petrol smell Down one side

Hi i have had a petrol smell for a week or so now had a look at filler cap and under the bonnet but can't find anything, but i have noticed that the smell is very strong from the passenger side of the car, Can anyone tell me if there is pipes/hoses along that side of the car, or what it may be thanks again nick...

Hi, Time for you to crawl under the car and have a look see... The fuel lines usually run on the passenger side (delivery and return).. Look along the lines for clean section, that could indicate a leak. Also, there is an access point under the rear seat if I am not mistaken and if the access port is not sealed correctly you can get fumes coming in the car.. Worth checking... Would also be worth checking the fuel line connections in the engine bay and the fuel rail and injectors.... Des. . .;)

more likely to be the evap canister under the nearside front wheel arch
