New Song - Light Storm

MessageAuthor

My newest musical endeavor. This one features my long time band mate Dave T. on solo guitar. I'm playing everything else and singing all the vocals. Edit: Forgot to mention that this was 22 tracks with 74 100% Linux FX, and I got to finally use my new sooper fun to play Talman bass on something. :) It's titled "Light Storm" at:

Wow great!!! Love drums & vocals a lot, everything sounds great. How did you make the brass sound?

Cool instruments. Tell me about your mics, I can see 3 and how you recorded, Iam just curious. The bass is a J and P bass at the same time?

I see. Nice Reaper theme, afaik this only works well on large screens, mine is too small.

Watched some videos active vs passive and I always liked the passive tone more, it is more natural, more dynamic. Yes, I added some synth bass, but not from the beginning. So the best maybe would be an avtive that can be switched to passive, but they are pretty expensive

Maybe stupid question: when do you know you have to make bridge adjustment and how? Your stingray is a great bass

Neat, thought the Stingrays were always active. Another level of messed up wiring too :) I own a sort of Stingray-Jazz mutant made by Cort and the sting-style humbucker has a coil split with a choice of coil to use. Battery powered tho, I think some older revisions had the passive switch but they removed it, boo. It has an eq with 3 bands with one of the knobs sitting on the top of the other and I never remember which one is which, madness.

Sounds good! Cool tune! There's something about the snare that bothers me but can't quite put my finger on it.

I have heard a lot a lot of good things about Warwick thumb basses - Prince also had some. There is one problem only: they want money! haha
