Cannot update Digidesign Pro Tools LE 7.0cs2

hi all and Merry Christmas! i downloaded the ptle70cs2.dmg to update my copy of PT LE 7.0 (MBox2-G5 Dual Core 2.3GHz-2GB RAM-Tiger 10.4.2), but when i try to install it this window appears : - Digidesign Pro Tools LE 7.0cs2 requires presence of Digidesign Pro Tools LE 7.0. - and then next : - An error occurred that prevented the installation from completing. - this is strange, since my copy of PT LE 7.0 is regularly installed, and i use it every day. thanks for support.

Yes, I'm getting the same problem trying to install PT MP 7.0cs1 over an existing installation of PT MP 7.0. I'm getting this on a Powerbook running OS X 10.4.3. I tried moving PT 7 to the /Applications folder (instead of it's current location in a subfolder of /Applications) but that didn't help.

I believe that update is only useful to people with the quad macs. Thats the only new thing about it. 7cs1 should be sufficient for the time being.

Not true...I have a MDD 867MHz PT7 and had no problems updateing to CS1 and 2

zeze - Is the Pro Tools application located at: MacHD>Applications>Digidesign>Pro Tools? If it's not in the Pro Tools folder, in that specific hierarchy, then the updater won't be able to run properly.

I have the same problem on G5 Quad, 2,5 GB RAM, new system instalation, new PT7.0 instalation, repare permition, prebindings, all is on right place, and update cannot find PT7.0. Borivoj
