Thank you very much for the metadata search, but a small request please. Could you extend the metadata search in BWF wavs to the iXML chunk, if present, also please? For iXML-enabled recorders like the Sound Devices and Cantars, things like the project name are not included in the bext decription field. Family and file UIDs, full recorded channel names, other files included in the fileset, etc are also only found in the iXML chunk. I fell at the first hurdle trying the metadata search on Project names as they're not in the bext chunk ;) >
adding new files to the database seems to be quite slow when metadata is enabled? It seems to want to scan everything again which is going to take another hour or so :) I'm sure it use to just find the new files pretty quickly?
Whilst trying to break (in the nicest way possible) the new rate stretch marker stuff I stumbled upon a bug. The 3 left drag mouse modifiers for items called "move item contents, ripple all adjacent items" (and the other 2 similar named ones) don't work on grouped items. They have a option to ignore groups but they don't seem to use that option and you can't have it ticked on at the same time as the main action so seems that's not intentional. :) EDIT: it also seems that if there is no item before the item you want to move, then the "move item contents, ripple earlier adjacent items" doesn't move item contents at the same time as shortening the left edge but keep the right edge still. Currently it just slips content. The "move item contents, ripple later adjacent items" does what is expect and moves contents along with right edge but keeps left edge the same. .
"Breaking the law, breaking the law!" ;) Other things I've found that you guys probably know about (and are tricky to do) but just in case. - Project based ripple editing (via toolbar button) doesn't seem to work when an items edge is shrunk or extended by applying rate change to a stretch marker or just sliding the stretch marker whilst adjusting right (or left) edge.) It glitches out here. Actually, that's it for now but will edit this as I find more. (did I mention already how amazing it is to have rate control over grouped items!) ;)
+ Drag/drop: handle dragging file URLs into REAPER This doesn't seem to work with an offline page that references local files. It would be nice of it could. :-) Thanks
