Can't record soundcard output in Reaper any more

Hi all, I recently reinstalled Windows XP on my PC, along with Reaper, LAME, and everything else. Before the reinstall, I was able to record whatever my soundcard was outputting (streaming audio from the internet for example), by changing the Audio Device inputs for my M-Audio Delta soundcard in Reaper to "Mixer In L" and "Mixer In R", and then arming a track and recording. But when I try it since the reinstall, it doesn't work, as nothing is being picked up by the track. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can get this working again?

first go to the m-audio control panel for your card and make certain you have all the in's and out's set up ok and have their volumes up... then in reaper pref's for audio, be sure you have the m-audio asio driver selected and then: first input = 1 last input = whatever is the very last offered... likely that will be the mixer... you can do this just as before if it's set up correctly and also check in the windows os control panel for audio device that the m-audio is set there for in and out

Sorted. Everything was fine in Reaper, the problem was that all the volume controls in the M-Audio control panel were at zero for some reason. Thanks for that!

right... that happens when you first or re- install the drivers... you have to go there and set it up.

I'll make a note of that.
