help please gearbox prob

Hope some one can point me in the right direction I change the inhibitor switch for a new one the E, S, W is still flashing as is the dash arrow and the car still wont fire the car was running fine no gearbox probs changed up and down perfectly parked up and then when I went to start it again it would not fire and the warning lights were on where am I going wrong thanks in advance

Hi, You cleared the codes in the ECU?? (Or disconnected the battery for a couple of hours - you'll need your radio code!) The switch is fitted correctly and in the correct position? Des. . . ;)

Hi is this a 960 and year ?? what miles done do you know what alarm system you have as could be imob problem lights flashing do not normally stop engine running did you set selector unit more info needed

960 Gearbox problem 

Hi Ruby, My 1995 960 3.0 Auto Estate sometimes won't start - I just have to jiggle the gear selector while turning the key - I think my inhibitor switch is slightly out of position or dirty - it's not a major hassle yet - so I think I'll leave it. Regarding the flashing lights - disconnecting the battery sorted mine out after replacing gearbox pump oil seals.
