RE: Losing conection with h/w in middle of session??
Sorry, this is my friends computer and it is a G4 mirror door DP 1.25 running HD with core, accel and process cards. I heard about the sound toys problem and had already tried removing them from the plug ins folder. The system was really freaking out over the weekend so yesterday I did a full clean install, wiped the drive and installed a clean version of 10.3.5 and the newest version of PT 6.4.2 cs9 and all of the current plugs. thought this would solve the problems but was still bad after. Would be in the middle of playback and would lose connect with the Hardware. One time in the midst of playback i stopped and a message came up in the middle of playback that said the hardware is being used by another application but nothing else was open???? As far as the Sound toys plugs I have been having enough probs with those on my rig which is a G5 DP 2gig running HD3 accel. Whenever I try and switch presets while the session is playing it freezes. Also I think they are causing weirdness with MOTUs mach five which was fine before I installed the Ultra FX bundle.???

did you try unplugging the i/o and re-seating he connections? AND for the HD cards as well? and the ribbon connectors? check card order? you seemd to have done the full monty on the software side, somehow you are losing hardware communication. when you launch PT can you change hardware settings and see it change on the i/o's?
